First floor

Hall I
In the first exhibition is presented extensive documentation coming from the archaeological city of indigenous Mendolita of Adrano, dating between the seventh and fifth centuries. BC, which previously returned the documents of exceptional scientific interest. Among the numerous testimonies a prominent position belongs to a sampling of the storeroom of bronzes (Ciadamidaro property), recently dated in the second half of VII century. BC, whose main body is on display at the Museo Regionale "P. Orsi "of Syracuse, and a bronze statue depicting a banchettante, a small masterpiece of archaic age (530 BC). The exhibition also includes an interesting selection of artefacts recovered from the end of the nineteenth century, in the inhabited with a series of antefisse a protome femminile, a great Gorgoneion fittile recovered in 1988 and a number of capitals and columns of lava rock.

Hall II
It is dedicated to the necropolis of Mendolita. The route is spread through the exposure of set of tholos tombs, dating from the second half of VII and the middle fifth century. BC, found in the district Sciare Manganelli during the excavation of 1962-1963. I corredi consist of locally produced pottery in the style of Licodia Evia, characterized by geometric motifs and stylized plants, by colonialand importation pottery and by small metal objects and some coleopterons in faïence with hieroglyph, interesting for the study of the spread of Egyptian and material egittizzante in old archaic Sicily. The bronze elmo of the type Calcidesi (500-480 BC) has a relevant position, it has been recovered sporadically between the two world wars in a citrus grove in the village Skiing Manganelli.

Hall III
It collects the extensive and interesting documentation of archaic and classical age from various localities of central and eastern Sicily. It is presented a rich selection of funerary corredi of chamber tombs from contrada Poira (Paternò) recovered during excavations in 1966, including Attic ceramics, Corinthian, laconic style of colonial and indigenous production; a choice of bronze and ceramic artefacts from various sources, the so-called crater Zappalà and vases of Attic production. It also exposed the so-called "divinity sicula" of bridge Primosole, particular example of contemporary indigenous art; the head of a terracotta horse coming from the city of Mendolita; a bust of a female deity of the fifth century. BC recovered in the territory of S. Mary Licodia and other artefacts belonging to tomb corredi from the same area.
